Digipak Information

A digipak is a type of packaging for CDs or DVDs, typically made from cardboard with an internal plastic holder for one or more discs.
(oxforddictionaries.com)

They consist of a cardboard opening (book style) at the front and a plastic holder with trays that can contain one or more CD'd or DVD's depending on the digipak. A digipak is usually created for special edition CD's or CD singles rather than albums.

The look of a digipak can change dramatically depending on the style or genre of the music the CD contains. Here are some examples:

Oasis, Acoustic (volume 6), Radio sampler
Genre: Acoustic

Rihanna: Loud
Genre: Pop, Dance Pop, R&B

Pink Floyd: The Dark Side Of the moon
Genre: Rock

Ben Howard: Follaton Wood
Genre: Folk

One Direction: Up all night
Genre: Pop

Adele: 21
Genre: Pop, Soul, Blues, R&B

I feel that this shows the variety in how a digipak can look. The overall feel of the digipak can be determined by the artist, the genre, the music, the themes of the album and many other factors such as the message the artist wants to put across to the consumer market.
