Today (Wednesday 7th November) we re-filmed for our music video. This was to add extra coverage to our video in order to improve the quality. We decided that it was best to film as soon as possible, leaving us with more time to edit our footage.
We asked our actress Scarlett to bring a different outfit, suitable for filming. We discussed this with her and decided on a dress, as we would be filming her performance scenes.
We then discussed where we would film and decided on the space outside, behind the C Block. This is because it is a large space with lots of trees, giving us a suitable background for our footage.
We also looked through our existing footage, rough cut and feedback and noted down what specific footage we needed to film. We then decided it would be a practical idea for two people in our group to go out and film, and two to stay in class and continue to edit and blog.
As we had previously experimented with camera functions, we knew that we wanted to use the slow motion and spot focus effect. During filming, we used these effects several times in order to perfect it. We also shot the performance of the song several times in different locations and from different angles in order to ensure that we have a wide enough range of footage. We also shot random shots of the location in order to gain coverage, this could be used as establishing shots.
All in all, I am happy with the coverage taken today. Although, we are yet to review what we have taken as a group.
